Woxsen University is seeking a
Manager – International Rankings & Institutional Analytics
to lead the day-to-day execution, data management and institutional coordination required for strengthening Woxsen's position across major
global university and business-school rankings and international benchmarking frameworks . The role will be responsible for converting institutional performance into
accurate, timely, verifiable and strategically positioned ranking submissions
across bodies such as
QS, Times Higher Education, Financial Times, U.S. News, ARWU, P&Q, Bloomberg Businessweek and relevant discipline-specific/global rankings , as applicable. This is a
data-intensive, analytical and execution-oriented role . The Manager will work across Schools, Research, Admissions, International Relations, Placements, Alumni, Finance, HR, Marketing, IQAC and other institutional units to ensure that ranking-relevant data is systematically captured, validated and improved. The ideal candidate should understand that rankings are not merely a reporting exercise—they are an
institutional performance and reputation management function . Key Responsibilities 1. International Rankings Management Manage the end-to-end annual ranking calendar for relevant national and international rankings. Track ranking methodologies, indicators, weightages, eligibility requirements and annual changes. Maintain a central
Rankings Calendar and Compliance Tracker . Coordinate institutional submissions, surveys, data requests and supporting documentation. Ensure timely and accurate responses to ranking agencies. 2. Rankings Data & Institutional Intelligence Build and maintain a central
Institutional Rankings Database . Develop indicator-wise datasets covering: Faculty Research Citations Internationalisation Employability Placements Alumni Student outcomes Industry engagement Sustainability Entrepreneurship Diversity Academic reputation Employer reputation International faculty/students Establish data definitions and ownership for each ranking indicator. Identify inconsistencies across institutional databases and resolve them before submission. 3. Ranking Methodology Analysis Continuously monitor changes in ranking methodologies. Benchmark Woxsen against peer institutions. Conduct
indicator-level gap analysis . Identify where Woxsen is underperforming, overperforming or failing to receive credit for existing performance. Develop recommendations to improve performance against specific indicators. 4. Data Validation & Audit Ensure every submitted ranking figure is supported by an auditable institutional source. Establish a
source → calculation → submission
trail for major indicators. Conduct pre-submission quality checks. Reconcile ranking data with AACSB, NIRF, NAAC, annual reports, websites and other institutional submissions. Maintain historical datasets to enable year-on-year trend analysis. 5. Institutional Data Collection Coordinate with: Schools | R&D | HR | Admissions | Placements | Alumni | International Relations | Finance | IQAC | Marketing | Library | Sustainability | IT to establish systematic data collection. The Manager will not merely request data; they will build
repeatable systems through which the data becomes available automatically or routinely . 6. Benchmarking & Competitor Intelligence Maintain a defined peer group of Indian and international universities/business schools. Track: Rankings Faculty strength Research productivity Citations Internationalisation Student quality Employability Partnerships Accreditation Programme portfolio Sustainability Reputation Emerging institutional strengths Produce periodic

Ranking Performance Analytics Develop dashboards showing: Current position → historical position → peer position → indicator performance → gap → improvement opportunity Use Excel/Power BI/Tableau or equivalent tools to create management dashboards. The role should be able to answer questions such as: “Why did our ranking move?” “Which three indicators are holding us back?” “What would need to improve for us to move into the next ranking band?” “Which data are we currently not receiving credit for?” 8. Reputation & Survey Management Support institutional efforts around: Academic reputation surveys Employer reputation surveys Faculty/expert databases Alumni engagement International partner engagement Corporate relationships Develop systematic and
ethically compliant
engagement mechanisms to improve response rates and institutional visibility. No manipulation, fabricated responses or misrepresentation of institutional information will be permitted. 9. Research & Bibliometric Analytics Work closely with the R&D Office to monitor: Scopus/WoS publications Citations FWCI h-index International co-authorship Institutional affiliations Highly cited papers Research collaboration Journal quality Field-weighted performance Identify publication-affiliation or database issues that may cause Woxsen to lose legitimate ranking credit. 10. Internationalisation Analytics Develop institutional datasets covering: International students International faculty International partnerships Student mobility Faculty mobility International research collaborations Joint programmes International placements Global academic engagements Ensure that definitions are aligned with the relevant ranking methodology. 11. Reporting to Leadership Prepare: Monthly rankings dashboard Quarterly institutional benchmarking report Ranking-specific readiness reports Annual rankings strategy Executive summaries for senior leadership Red-flag reports on data gaps Recommendations for institutional improvement The role should convert complex datasets into
clear management decisions . Key Deliverables The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain: Rankings Master Dashboard A single institutional view of all major ranking indicators. Rankings Data Dictionary Clear definition, source, owner and calculation methodology for every major metric. Rankings Calendar All submission dates, surveys, data requirements and institutional owners. Peer Benchmarking Dashboard Woxsen versus selected national and international peers. Ranking Gap Analysis Top weaknesses, opportunities and recommended interventions. Five-Year Rankings Database Historical data enabling trend and trajectory analysis. Ranking Submission Audit File Evidence supporting every major submitted figure. Candidate Profile Education Master's degree in
Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Management, Public Policy, Higher Education Administration, Institutional Research or related discipline . MBA/PGDM or equivalent preferred. Additional qualifications in analytics or institutional research will be advantageous. Experience 4–8 years of relevant experience , preferably in: University rankings Institutional research Higher-education analytics Accreditation Quality assurance Business intelligence Institutional strategy Data analytics Consulting Research administration Experience with
QS, THE, FT, U.S. News, ARWU, NIRF, AACSB, EQUIS or AMBA
will be strongly preferred. Candidates from consulting, analytics or higher-education strategy backgrounds with strong quantitative capabilities may also be considered.
