The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in contemporary JavaScript frameworks, exceptional UI/UX sensibility, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing creatively to product innovation. </p> <p><br />This role partners closely with cross functional teams to transform user needs into elegant, performant, and scalable interfaces that advance our mission of improving global health. </p> <p>This position will work remote from home office located in India. </p><p></p><p><b><b>Key Responsibilities </b> </b> </p> <p></p> <p>• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.<br />• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, and back-end teams to translate concepts into responsive, accessible, and user centered interfaces.<br />• Contribute to user journeys, prototypes, and interaction models that improve overall product usability.<br />• Provide thoughtful input on technical approaches, architectural considerations, and continuous improvement opportunities.<br />• Work independently to drive tasks from concept to completion, balancing creativity with technical rigor.<br />• Ensure code quality through best practices in maintainability, performance, and accessibility.<br />• Integrate with RESTful APIs and collaborate effectively with teams responsible for back-end systems. </p><p></p><p><b><b>Education &amp; Experience: </b> </b> </p> <p></p> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. </li> <li>4+ years of experience in the following: </li> <p><b>Front-End / Framework Expertise </b><br />• Svelte / SvelteKit experience is strongly recommended and will be considered a significant advantage.<br />• Candidates with very strong Vue.js or React experience will also be considered.<br />• Deep knowledge of component-based architecture, modern state management patterns, responsive layouts, and high-performance front-end engineering. </p> <p><br /><b>UI/UX Skills </b><br />• Demonstrated strength in UI/UX development, including usability, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.<br />• Proven ability to translate concepts, wireframes, and mockups into polished end-user experiences.<br />• Strong creativity and an eye for detail—capable of elevating both visual quality and functional clarity. </p> <p><br /><b>Technical Understanding </b><br />Hands-on back-end development experience is not required, but candidates should have a solid understanding of:<br />• RESTful API concepts and integration patterns<br />• JSON data handling, request/response lifecycles, and error semantics<br />• Authentication and authorization fundamentals (e.g., tokens, headers)<br />• General awareness of how modern back-end services function </p> <p><br /><b>Core Competencies </b><br />• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables with minimal oversight<br />• Innovative, creative thinker who brings forward new ideas and approaches<br />• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to explore alternative solutions<br />• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within distributed teams<br />• High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality </p><p><b>About Corporate Functions </b><br /> The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development.
