Salary: $90,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• We are looking for strong C++ programming and debugging ability.
• We need solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• We want a strong background in either computational geometry or computer graphics, along with practical familiarity with the other.
• We value attention to numerical precision, tolerances, and edge cases.
• You should be able to learn rapidly, understand complex systems, and collaborate effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with Python is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD file formats, spline-based geometry, or CAD/CAM systems is preferred.
• Experience with geometry, numerical computing, computer vision, or image processing is preferred.
• Experience with OpenGL or WebGL is preferred.
• Familiarity with CMake, Git, and continuous integration workflows is preferred.
• Exposure to manufacturing, CNC, robotics, simulation, or game engine development is preferred.

• We will have you develop and maintain our existing C++ software for geometry and die cutting.
• You will own and enhance our automated quote pricing engine.
• You will troubleshoot and fix issues across CAD processing, geometry, pricing, and production workflows.
• You will test and document software updates.
• You will build and support geometry visualization software.
• You will implement geometry and quoting capabilities for CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, and automated bending.

We are Digital Manufacturing Systems, Inc. (Rapid Die Cut), based in Clinton Township, Michigan, and this is a full-time, on-site junior C++ engineer role. We build software that automates the journey from a customers CAD file to a manufacturing quote and production, with our geometry and pricing engines driving quoting accuracy, manufacturability, and production data for our machines. We are growing beyond die cutting into CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, and automated bending, and you will work directly with our Computational Geometry & AI Engineer for day-to-day mentorship. This role also offers hands-on exposure to computational geometry, computer vision, geometry-driven quoting, CAD/CAM software, real-time visualization, and high-performance C++, with benefits including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, and vision insurance.
