Mechanical Engineer (3 to 6 years)Location: New York, NY (Midtown office, hybrid to be confirmed)Type: Permanent, full timeSalary: $100,000 to $130,000 base

The roleOur client, an award winning NYC MEP consultancy, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for commercial and residential buildings across New York City. You will work on real projects from day one, with a clear path to running your own jobs. Energy efficient design is at the core of what the firm does, so you will get deep exposure to high performance buildings.
What you will doDesign HVAC systems through schematic design, design development and construction documentsRun heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selections and duct and pipe sizingProduce and coordinate drawings in AutoCAD and Revit with architects and other MEP disciplinesWrite specifications and support NYC DOB filingsCarry out field surveys of existing buildings and energy auditsSupport construction administration: submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits and punch listsContribute to energy modeling and LEED, Passive House or Local Law 97 compliance xzbcwsv work
What you bringBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering3 to 6 years of HVAC design experience at an MEP consulting firmSolid knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code, ASHRAE standards and the NYC Energy Conservation CodeWorking knowledge of Revit and AutoCADExperience with load calculation software such as Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP or similar
