ABOUT THE ROLE

As we establish our India subsidiary, ExpandUs is looking for an experienced and credible India-based professional to join us as a Non-Executive Director & Strategic Advisor.

The selected individual will support the company with local governance and provide practical strategic guidance during its early stage of growth. This is a part-time, non-operational position with a limited and structured time commitment, typically involving a few hours each month.

The role is suitable for an experienced professional who understands the responsibilities of a company directorship and would enjoy contributing to the development of an early-stage global venture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in periodic board and governance discussions

• Support statutory oversight alongside the company’s professional compliance partners

• Provide practical guidance on establishing and developing India operations

• Offer an independent perspective on business priorities, risks and key decisions

• Share relevant guidance on partnerships, hiring and market development

• Act as a trusted strategic sounding board to the founder

PREFERRED PROFILE

We welcome applications from experienced business professionals, entrepreneurs, consultants, retired executives, finance or legal professionals, and current or former corporate leaders who:

• Are based in India and satisfy the applicable resident-director requirements

• Bring strong professional integrity and sound business judgment

• Understand the responsibilities associated with a company directorship

• Have experience in leadership, governance, consulting, finance, technology or international business

• Are interested in supporting an early-stage global venture

• Can provide limited but meaningful ongoing engagement

Experience in international business, cross-border operations, professional services, technology platforms or GCC–India business relationships would be beneficial but is not mandatory.

ENGAGEMENT STRUCTURE

• This is not a full-time employment or day-to-day operating role. The engagement structure and professional retainer will be discussed with the selected individual based on their experience and expected level of involvement.
