About the Role:

Ekya Schools is seeking a passionate and experienced PGT Psychology Teacher who can

effectively teach senior secondary students while also supporting the school's counselling

initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent communication

skills, and prior experience teaching the IB or IGCSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

● Teach Psychology to Senior Secondary students (Grades 11 & 12) following the IB or

IGCSE curriculum.

● Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, student-centric lessons.

● Assess student progress through assignments, projects, examinations, and continuous

evaluation.

● Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a positive learning environment.

● Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.

● Offer school counselling support by addressing students' social, emotional, behavioural,

and academic concerns.

● Collaborate with parents, educators, and school leadership to support students' overall

well-being and development.

● Maintain accurate academic records and prepare student progress reports.

● Participate actively in school events, faculty meetings, professional development

programs, and curriculum planning.

Eligibility Criteria

● Master's Degree in Psychology (Mandatory).

● B.Ed. is preferred.

● Prior experience as a Psychology Teacher in a school.

● Hands-on teaching experience with the IB or IGCSE curriculum is mandatory.

● Experience in school counselling or student wellness programs is highly preferred.

● Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
