Datgroup is hiring a mid-level Operations & Automation Engineer to keep a federal enterprise API platform running smoothly and make it better every sprint. You’ll split your time between hands-on platform operations and Tier 2 support for the teams that build on and consume the platform’s APIs.What you’ll doTroubleshoot REST APIs and Apigee gateway issues: auth, payloads, connectivity, rate limitsHandle escalated Tier 2 issues from API consumers and producersSupport deployments, maintenance, and recovery across AWS and RHELBuild CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and AnsibleRun containerized deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and HelmTurn recurring problems into fixes: scripts, automations, runbooks, or process changesWhat you bringUS Citizenship (required for Public Trust); DHS USCIS Public Trust a plusBachelor’s plus 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent), including 3+ years in platform engineeringStrong REST API troubleshooting and API gateway experience (Apigee strongly preferred)Working knowledge of AWS, Linux, CI/CD, and networkingIndependent skill in Terraform-based IaC or Kubernetes/Helm deploymentsScripting in Python, Node.js, or BashClear communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholdersNice to have: AWS (EKS, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda), RHCSA / AWS / Kubernetes / Terraform certifications, federal program experienceBenefits: ICHRA health contribution, 401(k) Safe Harbor match, PTO plus paid federal holidays, and up to $2,500/year for training and certifications.Apply: send your resume to with the subject “Application: Operations & Automation Engineer. xzbcwsv ”Datgroup LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
