Full Stack Engineer (Python + React)

We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build and ship production-grade applications for the client. You will own features end to end, from FastAPI services to React/TypeScript interfaces, and integrate them with LLM-driven agentic workflows running on top of Databricks. The role suits an engineer who treats model output as an unreliable input and builds the safeguards around it.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship production-grade full-stack features using Python/FastAPI on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend.
• Integrate applications with LLM-driven agentic workflows, including prompt design, structured tool schemas and tool-calling pipelines.
• Build production safeguards around model behavior: retry and salvage strategies for truncated model output, validation of model-authored data, and guardrails against unreliable responses.
• Design clean API contracts between the UI, backend services and the AI layer, with clear error handling and observability.
• Work with Databricks components (Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouses, Lakehouse Federation, Genie Conversational API) to deliver conversational analytics experiences.
• Diagnose platform-level failure modes such as permission boundaries, compute and network limits, and federated-query governance, and turn findings into durable fixes.
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and release planning, and collaborate with the onsite team and client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building and shipping production-grade full-stack applications with a Python/FastAPI backend and a React/TypeScript frontend.
• Demonstrated experience integrating those applications with LLM-driven agentic workflows.
• Experience designing LLM prompt and tool-calling pipelines with production safeguards: retry and salvage strategies for truncated model output, structured tool schemas, and guardrails against unreliable model-authored data.
• Solid grounding in API design, testing, version control and CI/CD practices.
• Solid written and verbal communication, and the ability to work with distributed teams and client stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks: Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouses, Lakehouse Federation and the Genie Conversational API.
• Prior work on BI, analytics or conversational data products.
