Email Marketing Associate REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Audience Loyalty WORK SCHEDULE: Full time/40 hours a week - Monday to Friday; some evenings andweekends required. POSITION SUMMARY Center Theatre Group seeks an Email Marketing Associate to execute daily email marketing strategies that will deepen our relationship with new and existing patrons through increased ticket, subscriptions, and membership sales. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, build, write, test, schedule, and deploy daily emails through WordFly for the marketing department; route emails for approval as needed Coordinate the company-wide email communications calendar Manage audience segmentation and lists for emails Analyze email performance, including revenue, open rates, click rates, engagement rates, and conversion rates, and recommend optimizations With support from Senior Manager, Audience Loyalty and the Ticketing & Customer Experience Director, write clear and accurate patron-facing communications for both promotional and transactional email campaigns Work with Media & Content department to curate engaging email content Request new email assets with Marketing Coordinator and Graphics department as needed Proactively monitor website updates and request updates when necessary Serve as quality assurance reviewer and collaborate closely with members of the Marketing, Media & Content, Institutional Advancement, Education, and IT teams to ensure adherence to brand standards and alignment between communications channels (i.e., social media, blog posts, website, etc.) Support subscription and membership renewal and acquisition campaigns, working closely with colleagues to develop corresponding messaging Coordinate reciprocal cross-promotions with external arts partners by producing emails that highlight partner events and providing copy and assets that highlight CTG events In consultation with Senior Manager, Audience Loyalty, Marketing Campaigns and Operations Director, Account Sales Manager, and others, develop and execute ticket promotions to increase single ticket, groups, subscription, and membership sales Remain current on emerging technologiesand email marketing best practices Follow Center Theatre Group style guide closely Create systems to streamline approvals, minimize edits, and ensure data integrity and seamless import/export of lists Work as a team member with the entire marketing staff on department events, including promotional activities, account sales events, opening nights, and more In collaboration with the marketing team, assist with the management and development of departmental interns Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to ensuring that access, belonging and a positive workplace culture are rooted in all levels and aspects of our work Other duties or projects as assigned Center Theatre Group provides a dynamic working environment in which duties and responsibilities may change. QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of email marketing software Tessitura, WordFly, and Airtable experience preferred Competency, facility, and interest in technology, analytics, and marketing data tools Technical savvy Superb attention to detail Strong eye for design and aesthetics, with experience creating marketing assets A sense of humor, ability to maintain flexibility in the work environment and handle multiple tasks, and willingness to take initiative and work independently are essential The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, problem solver with both a creative mind and analytical skillset, and a passion for the mission of Center Theatre Group MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit, type and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, carry 20lbs Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. All employees are required to pass a background check.
