Academic Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional 31A
Position: Academic Paraprofessional – Paraprofessional 31A
Location: Beaumont Elementary School
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree preferred
- High School diploma required
- Successful experience working with children
- Demonstrate initiative and energy with ability to quickly adapt to new situations as they arise
- Demonstrate competency in basic academic areas
- Demonstrate knowledge in the use of computers and technology: Google Workspace, district email, Lexia Core5, Amira and DreamBox
- Ability to follow guidance of a lead teacher and collaborate with other staff members
- Ability to effectively communicate with students and staff
- Ability to manage students individually and in small groups
- Ability to maintain student confidentiality at all times
Essential Functions
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Work effectively with students to support and reinforce literacy and/or math concepts
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials
- Maintain documentation connected to the requirements of the grant-funded position
- Other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or the building principal
Reports To: Building Principal
Workday/Week: Monday – Friday 6.5 hours per day
Starting Date: ASAP
Compensation: $14.25 per hour
