Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing biotechnology manufacturing organization in Somerset County, NJ. The Maintenance Mechanic will support maintenance and reliability efforts for critical manufacturing equipment in a regulated cGMP cleanroom environment, ensuring uptime, compliance, and operational excellence. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automated systems. Complete maintenance documentation and equipment release activities in compliance with cGMP standards. Utilize CMMS to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and records. Support equipment reliability, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications of the Maintenance Mechanic : Previous experience maintaining processing or manufacturing equipment required. cGMP biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar regulated industry experience preferred. Experience working in cleanroom environments under aseptic conditions. Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management systems. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintenance documentation. Electrical and/or automation experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
