Representing a globally established alternative asset management firm, we are proud to be leading the search for a Legal Counsel. This role will provide legal support across U.S. investment management activities, with a particular focus on funds and securities matters. This is a highly visible opportunity to join a lean global legal team, partner closely with senior leadership, and advise a sophisticated investment management business.

As the Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for:Providing legal support across U.S. fund and investment management activities.Advising on securities law matters affecting the business.Supporting legal matters relating to hedge fund and asset management activities.Handling employment law matters as required.Partnering closely with senior U.S. legal counsel to support the broader U.S. business.Advising on capital markets and IPO-related matters where applicable.Collaborating with legal colleagues internationally on cross-border and broader business matters.
To be successful in this role our client is looking for a:Lawyer with approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, with flexibility for candidates whose experience strongly aligns with the role.Strong background in securities law and funds-related legal matters, with exposure to employment law.Experience advising an investment management, asset management, hedge fund, or similar financial services business.Candidate currently working in-house or within a law firm practice supporting the investment management sector.Lawyer comfortable advising business stakeholders in a fast-moving investment environment.Professional who is comfortable operating in a highly confidential environment.Candidate with capital markets and/or IPO experience is advantageous.
