About the Role
The Assistant Manager - Video Production supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of video productions from pre-production through post-production. This role works closely with producers, creative teams, faculty, and external vendors to ensure productions are well organized, run smoothly, and are delivered on time and to quality standards.
As part of the Global Design Operations team, you will help create engaging learning experiences while contributing to more efficient production workflows through collaboration, process improvements, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production
- Coordinate production schedules, timelines, and logistics for multiple video projects.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align production requirements, deliverables, and filming plans.
- Prepare production documentation, including schedules, call sheets, and budgets.
- Coordinate faculty, vendors, locations, and production resources to ensure filming readiness.
- Track project milestones, identify risks, and communicate updates proactively.
Production
- Support studio, remote, and on-location filming sessions to ensure productions run efficiently.
- Assist with production setup, equipment coordination, presenter support, and general on-set logistics.
- Help faculty and subject-matter experts feel prepared and comfortable before and during filming.
- Monitor production activities and escalate technical or scheduling issues when needed.
- Support live and virtual productions, including recording sessions and livestream coordination.
- Travel domestically and internationally for filming when required.
Post-Production
- Coordinate post-production activities and track projects through review and final delivery.
- Organize media assets, manage feedback, and help ensure timely completion of revisions.
- Perform basic video editing or content updates when needed.
- Review deliverables to ensure they meet quality, accessibility, and partner standards.
Production Operations
- Maintain production documentation, schedules, and project tracking throughout the production lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to keep projects on track.
- Contribute ideas for improving production workflows through new tools, AI-assisted processes, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Multimedia team.
Required Skills and Experience
Video Production
- 6-8 years of experience coordinating or supporting video productions.
- Understanding video production workflows from planning through delivery.
- Familiarity with professional production equipment and studio workflows.
- Experience supporting studio, remote, or live productions.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software is preferred.
- Knowledge of camera operations in production environment will be given additional weightage.
Production Coordination
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating schedules, production logistics, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate production needs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset when working with faculty, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn.
- Willingness to work 1:00 PM–11:00 PM IST to support global collaboration and maintain flexibility around filming schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting educational media, corporate video, or digital content production.
- Familiarity with livestreaming or virtual production platforms.
- Interest in AI-assisted production workflows and emerging media technologies.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
