Trainee .NET Developer - ASP.NET Core & SQL

Phenologix is looking for a motivated Trainee .NET Developer to join its development team in Lahore. This is an entry-level role for fresh graduates or early-career candidates who want hands‑on experience building enterprise applications on the Microsoft .NET platform. You will learn on real projects under the guidance of senior developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using C# and ASP.NET (MVC or .NET Core)
• Write clean, readable, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior developers
• Help build and consume APIs and connect applications to databases
• Write basic SQL queries and work with SQL Server
• Support front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Test, debug, and fix issues in existing applications
• Take part in code reviews, team meetings, and daily stand-ups
• Learn the team’s development tools, standards, and deployment process
• Document tasks, progress, and technical learnings

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of C# and object‑oriented programming (OOP) concepts
• Basic knowledge of ASP.NET MVC or .NET Core
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server preferred)
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Basic understanding of Git is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field (or a final‑year student, if the company allows it)

Soft Skills

• Strong willingness to learn and take feedback
• Good problem‑solving and logical thinking
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines

Good to Have

• A small personal or university project built with .NET (put the link in your CV)
• Knowledge of Entity Framework and LINQ
• Basic understanding of REST APIs
• Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms
