<p><b>Job Description - Senior Planning Manager</b></p><p><b>Company:</b> ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd.</p><p><b>Location:</b> Yamunanagar (YNR)</p><p><b>Experience:</b> 12-18 Years (preferably in Heavy Engineering / Process Equipment Manufacturing)</p><p><br /></p><p>Role Summary</p><p>The Senior Planning Manager will lead the planning and production scheduling function for the Process Equipment Division, ensuring timely execution and delivery of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors, and other static equipment. The role is responsible for strategic production planning, resource optimisation, cross-functional coordination, capacity planning, and driving on-time project execution while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and customer commitments.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead the Planning function for the Process Equipment Division, ensuring effective production planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control across multiple manufacturing projects.</li><li>Develop and manage integrated production schedules covering engineering release, procurement, fabrication, inspection, testing, painting, packaging, and dispatch activities.</li><li>Drive end-to-end project execution by coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Commercial, and Project Management teams.</li><li>Establish planning standards, scheduling methodologies, and monitoring systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and project visibility.</li><li>Review production progress against baseline plans, identify schedule risks and bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to achieve committed delivery timelines.</li><li>Lead capacity planning, workload balancing, and manufacturing resource optimisation across fabrication shops, welding bays, machining, NDT, PWHT, hydrotesting, and assembly facilities.</li><li>Ensure timely availability of approved drawings, BOMs, raw materials, bought-out items, tooling, and production documentation in line with manufacturing schedules.</li><li>Conduct regular production review meetings with functional heads and senior management, presenting project status, critical paths, recovery plans, and key performance indicators.</li><li>Monitor project milestones, manufacturing productivity, material availability, and vendor performance to ensure adherence to contractual commitments.</li><li>Drive planning excellence through effective utilisation of ERP systems and project scheduling tools, ensuring accurate reporting and real-time schedule updates.</li><li>Lead and mentor the planning team, developing planning capabilities, standard work practices, and performance management systems.</li><li>Support strategic initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, Digital Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and operational excellence.</li><li>Collaborate with business leadership during proposal, order acceptance, and project kick-off stages by providing realistic production timelines and manufacturing capacity assessments.</li><li>Ensure compliance with organisational quality systems, statutory requirements, customer specifications, and applicable international fabrication standards.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Desired Candidate Profile</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>12-18 years of progressive experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing Planning, or Project Planning within Heavy Engineering, Process Equipment, or Pressure Vessel manufacturing.</li><li>Proven leadership experience in managing planning teams for large-scale fabrication projects involving Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors, and other ASME-coded equipment.</li><li>Strong understanding of fabrication sequences, welding processes, machining, NDT, PWHT, hydrotesting, assembly, and dispatch planning.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME Sections II, V & IX, customer specifications, and international fabrication practices.</li><li>Expertise in production scheduling, capacity planning, resource optimisation, project controls, and manufacturing performance management.</li><li>Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP along with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.</li><li>Strong analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and productivity enhancement initiatives will be preferred.</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Q5qtMpIwlbIklZFk62an8GbF%2b%2fd28Rske" width="0" height="0" />
