We’re growing, with new attractions on the way: drift go-karts, a multi-level indoor karting track and a mini-tank off-road adventure. We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and help drive us into the future.Position SummaryThe Staff Accountant keeps our books accurate and our close on schedule. The role owns accounts payable, inventory accounting and accounting for our vehicle fleet, and supports the month-end close through journal entries, reconciliations and analysis.ResponsibilitiesAccounts payableManage the full AP cycle, including vendor relations, statement reconciliations, month-end accruals and the related balance sheet reconciliations.InventoryRun weekly inventory cycle counts and update inventory records.Prepare and post cost of goods sold (COGS) entries based on sales activity.Complete month-end inventory reconciliations, and find and resolve any discrepancies.Fleet and fixed assetsBuild and maintain amortization schedules for fleet loans, process monthly loan payments and reconcile the related accounts.Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries and maintain fixed asset roll-forward schedules.Revenue and cashRecord daily and weekly journal entries for accounts receivable, deferred revenue and customer deposits, using data from our point-of-sale system.Reconcile bank accounts and merchant deposits, and look into variances quickly. xzbcwsv Month-end closeOwn the month-end close checklist so every material transaction is captured and deadlines are met.Complete accounting analysis and other assignments as needed.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field2 to 4 years of accounting experienceWorking knowledge of US GAAPHands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries and account reconciliationsSolid understanding of accounts payableExperience with an ERP system and strong Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables)Able to analyze financial data, spot discrepancies and explain findings clearlyNice to HaveExperience with Sage IntacctInventory, fixed asset or fleet accounting experienceMulti-entity accounting experienceBackground in hospitality, entertainment or retailCompensation and Benefits$60,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experienceMedical benefits401(k) with generous company matchPaid time off
