About the OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, supporting tax planning initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and assisting with tax-related projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and/or trusts.Research tax issues and analyze the impact of tax law changes.Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and supporting schedules.Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and improve compliance.Respond to tax notices and support tax audits and examinations.Review financial statements and general ledger activity for tax implications.Assist with year-end tax reporting and compliance requirements.Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors on tax-related matters.Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and efficiencies.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3-7+ years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred QualificationsCPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.Experience with tax research tools and ERP/accounting systems. xzbcwsv Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
