Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for delivering UK-focused tax and accounting services to client practices. This role involves managing end-to-end tax compliance and tax preparation assignments, reviewing work completed by junior team members, and ensuring adherence to UK tax regulations and firm standards. The Senior Tax Accountant will prepare and review financial statements, support year-end file preparation, and collaborate with client teams to resolve technical queries and provide clear explanations. Daily responsibilities include planning workloads to meet UK deadlines, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with UK-based oversight teams, and contributing to process improvements and quality controls. The role also requires mentoring and training junior staff to maintain high delivery standards and support scalable growth for client firms.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong expertise in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation, with experience in UK tax regulations preferred.
  • Candidates should possess solid skills in Accounting and Financial Statements, including preparing, reviewing, and reconciling statements in line with professional standards.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) or a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Experience working with UK accountancy firms or international outsourcing environments is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with accounting and tax software, strong Excel skills, and comfort working with cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with UK-based stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, lead or supervise junior team members, and work consistently during UK working hours.
