Role Description The Financial Accountant role is night shift role with Handson experience of Quickbooks ,will bring strong technical and operational accounting skills, experience within a wholesale, apparel, consumer products, or similarly inventory-driven environment , and a willingness to roll up their sleeves when needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial

reporting across seven brands.

· Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses,

and balance sheet accounts.

· Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial statements and underlying accounting

records.

· Manage accounting activities across a complex multi-brand, wholesale apparel organization

generating approximately $150–$200M in annual revenue.

· Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including direct supervision of the internal AP and

AR team members.

· Partner closely with the VP of Finance & Accounting on financial reporting, accounting initiatives, and

ongoing improvements to the finance function.

· Oversee accounting related to brand licensing and royalty arrangements, including reporting,

reconciliations, accruals, and compliance with contractual requirements.

· Support accounting for wholesale customer activity, including receivables, deductions, chargebacks,

credits, and other customer-related transactions.

· Monitor working capital and support management of accounts receivable and cash collections.

· Support and oversee factoring-related accounting and reconciliations where applicable.

· Maintain and improve accounting processes and controls within BlueCherry, the company’s

ERP/operating system.

· Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes, improve reporting, strengthen controls, and

increase efficiency across the accounting organization.

· Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, production, licensing, and other business leaders to

resolve accounting issues and improve financial visibility.

· Take a hands-on approach to problem solving and step into transactional or operational accounting

matters when necessary.

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Strong progressive accounting experience, ideally including experience as a Controller, Assistant

Controller, Accounting Director, or Accounting Manager within a similarly sized organization.

· Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations,

and operational accounting.

· Experience within apparel, fashion, wholesale, consumer products, retail, manufacturing, distribution,

or another inventory-driven business strongly preferred.

· Experience working within a licensed brand environment and/or with royalty accounting is highly

desirable.

· Understanding of wholesale accounting, including customer deductions, chargebacks, receivables, and

inventory-related accounting.

· Factoring experience is a strong plus.

· Experience with BlueCherry is a plus; experience with comparable apparel, wholesale, or ERP systems

will also be considered.

· Prior experience managing both internal accounting staff and outsourced/offshore accounting

resources is helpful.

· Strong Excel skills and an ability to work comfortably with large volumes of financial and operational

data.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
