HCL Hiring for Chassis Design Engineer in Chennai - Automotive Domain

We are looking for experienced Automotive domain Engineer with strong expertise in Chassis.

Experience: 5-9 Years

Location: Chennai

Qualification: B. E / B. Tech (Mechanical)

Design & Development.

Required Skills:

CATIA V5 / 3 DX Chassis CAD Design GD& T Part Modelling Drafting & Drawing Assembly & Kinematics Sheet Metal Design Manufacturing Processes Teamcenter Engineering Vis Mockup WERS, GPDS & DPA 0/1 knowledge Global Change Management (GCM)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and development of chassis systems including Brakes, Suspension, Wheels & Tires. Develop CAD models, drawings, and GD& T in CATIA V5/3 DX. Support chassis aggregate design and engineering decisions. Drive components from concept to production readiness. Work closely with D& R engineers, suppliers, and global stakeholders. Ensure manufacturability, assembly feasibility, and serviceability. Support New Product Development (NPD) programs and milestone deliveries.

Preferred:

Experience in Ford product development processes. Knowledge of WERS, GPDS, DPA, and GCM. Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones.
