Vice President- Fixed Income Investments (Mostly remote)

We’re seeking an experienced investment professional to join a global insurance asset management platform, working directly with regional investment leadership on portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and transaction support.This role sits at the intersection of portfolio construction, capital markets, and M&A, with responsibility for shaping investment strategy across a multi-billion-dollar, multi-region platform

This is a mostly remote role, only a few days in office per month in midtown Manhattan for specific meetings
The JobAs a VP, Investments, you will partner closely with senior leadership to:Oversee and optimize regional investment portfolios within a regulated insurance frameworkSupport M&A activity through portfolio construction and yield analysisDevelop strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendationsGenerate and evaluate new investment ideas across asset class
What You’ll Do Portfolio Construction & M&A SupportAnalyze target portfolios in acquisition scenarios, including existing holdings and constraintsRecommend portfolio repositioning strategies aligned with liability profilesDevelop yield projections and investment assumptions to support deal pricingPartner cross-functionally to incorporate regulatory, tax, and structural considerationsStrategic Asset Allocation & ALMDevelop and maintain strategic asset allocation frameworksIncorporate inputs from actuarial, treasury, capital planning, and market conditionsAlign portfolio construction with liability profiles and capital considerationsEvaluate relative value across asset classes and investment strategiesInvestment Strategy & Idea GenerationAssess market opportunities and propose strategic and tactical allocation shiftsDevelop investment proposals for internal committees and senior stakeholdersCollaborate across functions (legal, tax, regulatory, actuarial, treasury) to implement strategiesManager Oversight & Due DiligenceManage relationships with external managers across fixed income and specialty asset classesEvaluate new xzbcwsv managers, co-investments, and strategiesMonitor performance and ensure alignment with portfolio objectivesAdditional ResponsibilitiesPrepare materials for Investment Committees and Board-level discussionsMonitor portfolio compliance with internal and regulatory constraintsOversee liquidity and cash deployment to minimize dragSupport income forecasting, budgeting, and performance attribution
Qualified candidates must have 8+ years of experience in fixed income portfolio construction and asset allocation, working with outside managers
Base salary 185k-220k DOE Plus competitive bonus/LTI and excellent benefits
