<p>Assistant Superintendent </p><h2>SUMMARY</h2> Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent responsible for providing coordination and supervision of sub-contractors and craft team members within a particular construction discipline. <h2>RESPONSIBILITIES</h2> <ul><li>Manage project labor (craft labor, subcontractors)</li><li>Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reports</li><li>Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty</li></ul> craft roles * Participate in site orientation training, first hour orientation, and site safety meetings <ul><li>Coordinate review and approval of craft worker timecards</li><li>Participate in hire and dismissal process of craft workers</li><li>Coordinate on-site operations/Scope of Work (Equipment, Labor, Schedule)</li><li>Provide guidance on activities including set-up, work in-place, and project</li></ul> closeout/demobilization * Support and participate with Project Managers on schedule development and updates * Coordinate with equipment facility and outside equipment providers for project equipment, i.e. cranes, trailers, trucks, Conexus, etc. * Review and verify quantity takeoffs and materials management process during the buyout process for specific scopes of work <ul><li>Manage scope(s) of work Production and Innovation Boards</li><li>Manage scope(s) of work Plan of Day (POD) activities</li><li>Support Safety Manager and/or Engineer with site safety audits, worker to</li></ul> worker observations, etc. <ul><li>Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractors’ work</li><li>Responsible for the orientation, training, and timely performance evaluation</li></ul> of craft workers, including performance management process if necessary * Other duties as assigned <h2>QUALIFICATIONS</h2> * Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience <ul><li>Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience</li><li>Current driver's license</li><li>Completion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician</li></ul> program preferred * Electrical circuitry qualified or ability to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers, if necessary * Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects <ul><li>Organize and manage multiple project tasks</li><li>Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business</li></ul> practices <ul><li>Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills</li><li>Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills</li><li>Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies</li><li>Active listening skills and effective communication, open to diverse input</li></ul> and feedback <ul><li>Ability to travel up to 100%</li><li>Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and</li></ul> Affirmative Action plans and their intended use <b>A few benefits offered include:</b> (for Non-Craft &amp; Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) * Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage <ul><li>Dental plan</li><li>401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match</li><li>Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves</li><li>Employer paid Life, AD&amp;D, and disability insurance</li><li>No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Adoption Assistance</li><li>Gym Membership Discount Program</li></ul> The base pay range for this role is $95,700 MIN - $129,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
