DESIGNER (ONSITE – RICHMOND, VA)Our client, a growing creative organization in Richmond, VA, is looking to add a Designer to their team. The goal of the Designer is to create impactful designs that capture and promote the vision of their clients. This is a part-time to full-time role position and is initially onsite in Richmond, VA, with the opportunity to become hybrid or remote based on performance. Candidates must be located in the United States and legally eligible to work in the U.S.Our client’s mission is to offer right-sized, practical solutions while creating and maintaining respectful partnerships with clients. Responsibilities:Create implementation of creative assetsCreate impactful designs that align with client goals and brand visionCreate secondary logo marks, color palettes, and other branding assetsCreate and edit product packaging and design collateralMake design revisions based on client and supervisor feedbackSubmit designs for review and incorporate feedback as neededCreate logo files, style guides, font packages, and presentationsExport final files from Illustrator and organize them in Google DrivePrepare and send final files at the completion of projectsCreate in-house social media graphics and postsAttend client feedback calls and internal meetings as neededCollaborate with team members to launch projects and productsStay updated on project assignments and deadlines through BasecampMeet deadlines consistently and communicate proactively regarding project statusAttend occasional meetings and coworking sessionsMaintain and update portfolio as neededRemain open to training and opportunities to learn new skills and design techniques
Required Qualifications:2+ years of graphic design experience preferredStrong graphic design skills and familiarity with fundamental design techniquesProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesignUnderstanding of visual elements including layout, typography, fonts, spacing, hierarchy, and colorSolid understanding of color psychology and an interest in continuing to learnPortfolio demonstrating real-world design work; corporate or business-oriented work is a plusAbility to create designs for both print and digital platformsStrong attention to detailExcellent time management and multitasking abilitiesCreative problem-solving skills xzbcwsv Strong communication skillsTeam player who is also comfortable working independentlyReliable, accountable, and responsiveComfortable receiving feedback from clients and supervisors and making revisions accordinglyEager to learn and open to training and feedbackAbility to work during business hours and attend occasional meetings and coworking sessionsAccess to a Mac or computer capable of running Adobe Creative Suite effectivelyWeb design or website building/editing experience is a plusExperience with Canva and/or Figma is a plusBranding experience, including mood boards, color palettes, and brand guidelines is a plusPackaging design experience is a plusStrong project management and self-management skills is a plusWriting ability for website and social media content is a plus
