Cloud Engineer

<p><b>Your Job </b> </p> <p>We are seeking an experienced and proactive <b>Cloud Engineer </b> to design, build, and support <b>AWS </b>-based solutions. In this role, you will leverage your hands-on AWS expertise and passion for innovation to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions. You’ll collaborate across teams, continuously learn, and drive meaningful results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. </p> <p><b>Our Team </b> </p> <p>Join the <b>Software Solution Group </b> (SSG), the central nervous system of the <b>Copper Solutions Business Unit </b> (CSBU), powering cloud-native transformation in electronics interconnects cable assemblies manufacturing for the <b>Datacom &amp; Specialty Solutions </b>(DSS) division. As the core software team, we collaborate across the organization to deliver advanced AWS cloud solutions—including web and serverless applications—that track and analyze all manufacturing, simulation, lab artifacts, as well as process data, to drive efficiency in our manufacturing and design centers. </p> <p>We value creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, offering opportunities to make a real impact while working with the latest AWS technologies. </p> <p><b>What You Will Do </b> </p> <li> Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available AWS infrastructure. </li><li> Work with core AWS services such as <b>EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, Amplify, AppSync, SQS, API Gateway, ECS, CloudWatch. </b> </li><li> Ensure security best practices including IAM roles, policies, encryption, and network security. </li><li>Implement <b>Infrastructure as Code (IaC) </b> using <b>Terraform. </b> </li><li> Monitor, troubleshoot, &amp; optimize cloud environment for security, performance, and cost optimization. </li><li>Collaborate with development team on <b>CI/CD pipelines. </b> </li><li> Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis. </li><li> Participate in architecture reviews and cloud optimization initiatives. </li><li> Stay current with AWS best practices. </li><li> Maintain thorough design documentation, operational procedures, and best practices. </li><li> Mentoring team members on cloud best practices. </li> <p><b>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) </b> </p> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. </li> <li>4-7 years of total experience. </li> <li><b>3–5 years of experience working with AWS Cloud services. </b> </li> <li><b>Strong hands-on experience with EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, Amplify, AppSync, CloudWatch. </b> </li> <li>Proven expertise leveragingIaCusing <b>Terraform </b> or CloudWatch. </li> <li>Experience with automation and scripting (<b>Python </b>). </li> <li>Knowledge of <b>networking concepts </b> (DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Subnets). </li> <li>Familiarity with <b>CI/CD tools </b> (AWS CodeCommit, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.). </li> <li>Understanding <b>cloud security and best practices </b>. </li> <p><b>What Will Put You Ahead </b> </p> <li>Knowledge of <b>serverless architecture </b>. </li> <li>Knowledge of <b>Docker and Ansible </b>. </li> <li>Experience with <b>monitoring, logging, and cost optimization </b> tools. </li> <li>AWS certification(s). </li><p>Additionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs.
