Workday Functional Consultant

Our client is looking for an experienced HRMS Functional Consultant to join a global HRIS transformation program. This role will primarily focus on Workday Core HCM and Onboarding , supporting global operations, driving configurations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Workday AMS core team on global HRIS initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end configuration of Workday Core HCM and Onboarding modules.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for HRMS processes and support activities across live countries.
• Drive solution design, conduct workshops, and engage with business stakeholders.
• Own and optimize business processes within Workday.
• Manage defects, releases, and feature adoption activities.
• Collaborate with integration, reporting, and security teams.
• Prepare and maintain functional documentation.
• Support security configuration, roles, permissions, and data privacy requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and review deliverables.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday HCM experience .
• Strong expertise in Core HCM, Onboarding, and Workday business processes .
• Experience working in client-facing or stakeholder management roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in Workday support or AMS environments is preferred.

Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of Workday HCM, especially Core HCM and Onboarding.
• Good understanding of HR processes including employee lifecycle, mobility, and training.
• Ability to bridge global processes with local business requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Workday configuration and support projects.
• Ability to understand and interpret project documentation and process models.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, and ServiceNow .
• Experience with Workday reporting and advanced Excel.
• Basic understanding of Workday security, roles, and permissions.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR is an added advantage.
