Biology Teacher - MYP IGCSE DP

Role Purpose: To deliver engaging and inquiry-based Biology lessons in accordance with IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Cambridge IGCSE curriculum requirements, fostering scientific literacy, critical thinking, and research skills among students. Key Responsibilities Plan and teach Biology lessons for IBDP (SL/HL) and IGCSE students. Develop students' understanding of biological concepts through practical, investigative, and inquiry-based learning. Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Prepare students for internal and external assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations. Guide IBDP students in Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and scientific research projects. Assess student progress, maintain records, and provide timely feedback. Integrate technology and real-world applications into Biology teaching. Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, parent interactions, and school activities. Support the IB Learner Profile, international-mindedness, and holistic student development. Qualifications Master's Degree in Biology/Life Sciences or a related field. B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching IBDP Biology and Cambridge IGCSE Biology preferred. Strong laboratory, communication, and classroom management skills.
