Site Lead - Procurement Ops (Semiconductor Fab)

<p><strong>Company and Business : </strong> </p><p><br /></p><p>Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. </p><p>Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </p><p><br /></p><p><strong>P2P Operations Management </strong> </p><ul><li>Lead and manage the complete P2P cycle—PR creation, approvals, PO issuance, GRN, invoice processing, and payments. </li><li>Ensure adherence to timelines to avoid project delays, material shortages, and payment escalations. </li><li>Monitor operational performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvements. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>2. Category Management </strong> </p><ul><li>Oversee procurement and P2P activities for: </li><li>Construction &amp; Project Capex </li><li>Indirect procurement including IT hardware, software, and services </li><li>Equipment, tools, and machinery </li><li>Raw materials, consumables, spares </li><li>Ensure category‑specific compliance, documentation, and contract adherence. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>3. People &amp; Stakeholder Leadership </strong> </p><ul><li>Lead the site P2P team, ensuring capability building, performance management, and strong cross‑functional collaboration. </li><li>Partner closely with Project, Finance, Engineering, IT, Operations, Planning, and Corporate Procurement teams. </li><li>Manage supplier interactions related to P2P, invoicing, and payments. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>4. Systems, Controls &amp; Compliance </strong> </p><ul><li>Own the effective use of ERP/Ariba/SAP and P2P tools at the site. </li><li>Ensure compliance with audit requirements, internal controls, and DoA guidelines. </li><li>Oversee accurate documentation for all procurement and payment processes. </li><li>Drive adoption of digital procurement tools and standardized processes. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>5. Supplier Engagement &amp; Issue Resolution </strong> </p><ul><li>Ensure timely resolution of supplier queries related to POs, invoices, and payments. </li><li>Drive vendor performance improvement and ensure timely closure of open GRNs and unmatched invoices. </li><li>Support onboarding and training of suppliers on P2P processes and platforms. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>6. Governance, Reporting &amp; Analytics </strong> </p><ul><li>Publish periodic P2P health reports—aging, GRN pendency, overdue payments, PO cycle time, compliance metrics. </li><li>Support budgeting and forecasting by providing visibility into procurement and payment pipelines. </li><li>Conduct regular governance reviews with site leadership and central procurement. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>7. Continuous Improvement &amp; Transformation </strong> </p><ul><li>Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce cycle times. </li><li>Lead automation, digitization, and simplification initiatives. </li><li>Enable standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and training for cross‑functional teams. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience : </strong> </p><p><br /></p><ol><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). </li><li>10–15+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or P2P functions. </li><li>Strong exposure to construction, capex, indirect, IT, and equipment/materials procurement. </li><li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and procurement platforms (Ariba preferred). </li><li>Proven leadership in cross‑functional environments and large‑scale operations. </li> </ol><p>Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. </p>
