About the Position

TransForce is seeking an experienced CDL A Flatbed Driver for local delivery routes based in Alpharetta, GA. This long-term flexible position involves hauling steel coils and requires hands-on experience with chaining, binding, and tarping. Drivers will operate manual transmission trucks and return home daily.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $29.00 per hour
• Overtime available after 40 hours
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start time: 4:00 a.m.
• Hours per week: 40
• No holiday work
• Home daily

Job Details

• Handling: Heavy touch, including chaining, binding, and tarping systems

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport steel coils to designated delivery locations
• Secure freight using chains, binders, and tarping systems
• Complete local delivery routes throughout the assigned service area
• Operate manual transmission equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and transportation regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
• Experience with chaining, binding, and tarping
• No automatic transmission restriction
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Steel-toe shoes required when reporting to the assignment
