We’re looking for a Senior VDC Specialist/Process/Hygienic to join our BIM/VDC team and take a leading role in the successful delivery of complex industrial projects.

This is more than a design role. As a Senior VDC Specialist, you’ll serve as a primary VDC resource on assigned projects—leading project setup, coordinating models, managing clash detection, supporting project schedules, and guiding the work of other designers and third-party resources.You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Prefabrication, Field Operations, VDC leadership, and design teams to identify issues early and keep projects moving.
What You’ll DoLead VDC activities for assigned Process/Hygienic projectsSet up and maintain Plant 3D and Navisworks project environmentsLead internal BIM coordination and clash detectionMaintain project models and coordinate with other tradesDevelop design schedules, milestones, and 3-week look-aheadsAssign and review work completed by support designersCoordinate with third-party design resources when neededIdentify potential design and schedule issues before they impact constructionSupport RFI coordination and provide the project team with information needed to keep work movingPartner closely with Project Managers and the Prefab ManagerLead BIM/coordination meetings when requiredProvide technical guidance, feedback, and support to other designers
What You Bring5+ years of Process/Hygienic design experience — life sciences experience preferredStrong Plant 3D and ISO Gen skillsProficiency with Navisworks 2020 or newerExperience with BluebeamAutoCAD and Revit experience is a plusStrong Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook skillsExperience leading or coordinating a collaborative design teamAbility to work effectively with both field and office teamsDesign Assist experience is a major plusCentral NC location is preferred; remote experience is a plus for candidates outside the area
