Company Description KNK Ship Management is a leading marine service provider in India, holding an RPSL license issued by D.G Shipping. The company manages manning and technical operations for a large fleet of tugs, dredgers, barges, and auxiliary vessels serving major ports across India. KNK Ship Management delivers worldwide vessel delivery services, port and terminal operations, and offshore project support for a variety of complex marine activities.

Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and supporting accounts payable and receivable processes. This role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, monitoring payments, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and basic cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally prime, Genius-TDS ETC) and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and vendor account reconciliations.
• Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and compliance requirements relevant to corporate and maritime operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or marine services is preferred but not mandatory.
