Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and drive the API Connect administration function, playing a crucial role in the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will lead a team, manage API Connect/ESB layers, and provide domain expertise, ensuring smooth software delivery and critical production issue support.

Key result Areas

• Lead and manage the API Connect administration team, providing strategic direction and ensuring efficient operations.
• Conduct requirements gathering, impact analysis, and development activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee the SIT and UAT phases, ensuring thorough testing and timely issue resolution.
• Provide expert support and guidance for critical production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the API Connect/ESB layers and their integration with the system and business environment.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API management and integration.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align API Connect administration with business goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations within the API Connect environment.
• Drive innovation and explore new technologies to enhance API Connect administration and overall software delivery.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in API management, with a strong background in API Connect administration.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in API design, development, and integration, with a focus on API Connect/ESB layers.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Proficiency in API management tools and technologies, including API Connect/ESB platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
