Qualification:
· MBBS / BAMS / BHMS (Mandatory)
· Valid Registration with the respective State Medical Council
· 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
· Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends
Job Summary:
The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to inpatients and emergency cases, ensuring timely assessment, treatment, and coordination with consultants. The role supports high-quality patient care while adhering to hospital protocols and NABH standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assess and manage patients in OPD, IPD, and Emergency under the guidance of consultants.
· Provide immediate medical care for emergencies and stabilize patients before referral, if required.
· Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
· Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals for continuity of care.
· Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code situations.
· Ensure timely admission, discharge, and referral processes.
· Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, and NABH standards.
· Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
· Participate in clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement initiatives.
