Role Description The Article Assistant internship role at JLR & Co. is an on-site position based in Mambalam. The intern will assist in audit and assurance assignments, including documentation, vouching, verification of records, and preparation of working papers. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting tax compliance and filings, helping with accounting entries, reconciliations, and basic financial analysis. The role also involves assisting in company law-related documentation, liaising with clients for data collection, and maintaining organized records. The Article Assistant will work closely with qualified professionals, learning professional standards and contributing to timely and accurate delivery of client services. Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and basic auditing procedures. Interest or exposure to taxation, company law, and compliance-related work. Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills and professional client-handling etiquette. Ability to work on-site in Mambalam, manage time well, and collaborate in a team-based environment. Enrollment in Chartered Accountancy (CA) course or relevant commerce/finance studies; prior internship experience is a plus.
