General Liability / Insurance Defense Associate | New York, NY (Hybrid)

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a General Liability / Insurance Defense Associate with 2-8 years of litigation experience to join its growing New York office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-exposure liability matters, gain meaningful courtroom experience, and collaborate with a nationally respected team handling complex litigation for sophisticated clients.
What You'll Do:Handle all phases of general liability and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and conduct legal research.Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.Defend a wide variety of matters, including premises liability, transportation and trucking, construction accidents, catastrophic injury, product liability, and other complex tort claims.Partner with clients, carriers, and senior attorneys to develop litigation and defense strategies.
Who We're Looking For:2-8 years of general liability, insurance defense, civil litigation, or casualty defense experience.Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and case management.Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while working collaboratively within a team.Admission to the New York Bar required.
