VMware System Administrator

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced VMware Systems Administrator to support a secure enterprise virtualization environment at NDU.The role involves administering vSphere/ESXi infrastructure, keeping systems patched and hardened to DISA STIG standards, and supporting backup and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments, including HA, DRS, vMotion, storage, and networkingPerform ESXi and vCenter patching and upgrades using Lifecycle ManagerProvision and manage virtual machines, templates, and capacity planningImplement and maintain DISA STIG hardening and compliance for ESXi, vCenter, and VMsSupport backup, replication, and disaster recovery operationsAutomate routine tasks using PowerShell/PowerCLITroubleshoot and coordinate with Windows Server and application teamsMaintain documentation and meet security and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Engineering, with hands-on VMware experienceStrong knowledge of vSphere/ESXi/vCenter administrationExperience with DISA STIGs and system hardeningExperience with PowerShell/PowerCLI scriptingActive Secret clearanceCompTIA Security+ CE (IAT Level xzbcwsv II) and a Computing Environment certification, both current
Preferred Qualifications:VMware VCP-DCV or VCAP-DCVExperience with vSAN, NSX, or VeeamWindows Server and Active Directory experienceExperience in a DoD or federal environment
Clearance Required: Active Secret ClearanceCertification: CompTIA Security+ and Computing Certification
