Region Four includes </p><p> Columbia County Medical Center and MCG Health Medical Center. </p> </li><li><p> As a <b> Radiologic Technologist </b> for Region Four, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve. </p> </li><li><p> If you prefer a role that avoids routine, lets you use your full skill set, and provides straightforward pay, this could be a strong fit. </p></li></ul> <p><b><u> Pay </u></b> </p><ul><li><p> In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive. </p></li></ul> <p><b><u> Schedule &amp; Incentives </u></b> </p><ul><li> This role can offer a competitive <b> relocation assistance package </b> for eligible candidates </li><li> A <b> full‑time </b>position with a variable schedule, based on organizational needs and may include <b>12-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts </b> </li><li> Benefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and more </li><li> Access to <b> Wellstar’s CareerCare program </b>for fully funded education and guided career progression </li></ul> <p><b><u> Required Qualifications </u></b></p> <h3><i><b> Education </b></i></h3> <ul><li><p> High School Diploma or equivalent </p> </li><li><p> Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program </p></li></ul> <h3><i><b> Experience </b></i></h3> <ul><li><p> Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting </p></li></ul> <h3><i><b> Certifications </b></i></h3> <ul><li><p> ARRT-R (Radiography) </p> </li><li><p> BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association </p></li></ul> <p><b><u> Core Responsibilities </u></b></p> <ul><li><p> Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, adjusting technique to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA). </p> </li><li><p> Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly. </p> </li><li><p> Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam. </p> </li><li><p> Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety. </p> </li><li><p> Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit. </p> </li><li><p> Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable. </p> </li><li><p> Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated. </p> </li><li><p> Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately. </p> </li><li><p> Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed). </p> </li><li><p> Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required. </p> </li><li><p> Organize daily workflow to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow. </p> </li><li><p> Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor. </p></li></ul> <p><b> Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
