Join Indiana University Healths Ambulatory Urgent Care team in Fort Wayne (Lima Road), where RNs deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced walk-in clinic that evaluates and treats acute injuries and illnesses while supporting 12 providers daily. Clinical responsibilities include venipuncture, medication administration (oral and injectable), wound care, DME application, EKGs, point-of-care testing, ear irrigation, and Occupational Health services such as physicals, drug screens, and breath alcohol testing. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and weekends, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; no call is required, though weekend and holiday shifts may be requested. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of RN experience, preferably in Urgent Care or Occupational Health, and are seeking strong provider collaboration, career growth, and the exceptional benefits of Indianas leading healthcare system.

Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
