Financial Controller - Retail

To lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end closing while ensuring robust financial controls, statutory and tax compliance, and accurate management reporting. The role oversees retail outlet reconciliations, manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, product margins, cash flow, and working capital management. It drives financial and operational performance through variance analysis, cost optimization, and actionable financial insights, while ensuring effective utilization of Oracle ERP and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen financial accuracy, operational efficiency, profitability, and business decision-making.

Job Description:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end closing .
• Drive robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and accurate management reporting .
• Manage retail outlet reconciliations , including sales, cash/card collections, inventory, receivables, and inter-outlet balances.
• Oversee manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, production variances, BOMs, and product margins .
• Monitor retail and manufacturing performance, identifying cost, margin, and efficiency improvement opportunities .
• Manage tax compliance including direct and indirect taxes.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital and identify opportunities for improved liquidity and capital efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decisions .
• Ensure effective utilization of Oracle ERP for financial control, reporting, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Work closely with Retail, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Procurement teams to resolve financial and operational issues.

Job Specification:

Education: CA Qualified, CA Finalist / ACCA with articles form a reputable Firm
Experience: 10–13 years of relevant experience, with meaningful exposure to both retail and manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, management reporting, costing, and financial analysis .
• Proven experience across both retail and manufacturing finance .
• Hands-on Oracle ERP experience .
• Strong understanding of retail reconciliations, inventory, working capital, and cash flow .
• Sound knowledge of direct and indirect taxation and statutory requirements .
• Strong commercial orientation and decision-support capability.
• Sleeves-up, hands-on approach with willingness to work closely with operations and investigate issues at source.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
