Job Description

Lahore Trading is seeking an Accountant to support accurate day-to-day financial operations for its business. Based in Lahore, this role will maintain reliable accounting records, help monitor cash flow, and provide timely financial information to support sound business decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Record and reconcile transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank activity, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare regular financial statements, account schedules, and management reports with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
• Track invoices, payments, expenses, and outstanding balances; follow up on discrepancies with relevant teams.
• Support budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and audit or tax documentation as required.
• Maintain organized financial files and ensure accounting records follow applicable company procedures and local requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to resolve accounting queries and improve the consistency of financial processes. This is an on-site role in Lahore.

Job Specification

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and routine accounting workflows.
• Ability to reconcile bank, vendor, customer, and control accounts and investigate variances.
• Competence in preparing financial statements, account schedules, and clear management reports.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and payment tracking.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software, including accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Understanding of month-end closing and supporting records for audits and tax reporting.i
• Strong numerical accuracy, organization, confidentiality, and deadline management.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies.
