General Manager - Annotation and Labeling / GIS Operations

Our client is looking for an experienced General Manager – Operations to lead large-scale GIS, Annotation & Labeling, Utility, and Mapping operations .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end GIS and Annotation & Labeling operations, including planning, resource allocation, delivery, quality, and budgets.
• Manage large, diverse teams and drive operational excellence, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and senior stakeholders .
• Understand client requirements and ensure delivery meets quality, timelines, and business expectations.
• Drive adoption of new GIS technologies, tools, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic business initiatives.
• Mentor leadership teams and build a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
• Represent the organization in leadership meetings, client discussions, conferences, and industry events.

Requirements

• 18+ years of overall experience , with 10+ years in Operations Management .
• Strong experience in GIS / Annotation & Labeling / Utility / Mapping / Engineering Services .
• Strong understanding of the Utility and Mapping ecosystem , client dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Proven experience managing large teams and complex operations.
• Strong customer relationship management skills at mid-to-executive levels.
• Experience working with Tier-1 GIS, Utility, Mapping, or Engineering Services clients .
• Strong stakeholder management and international client-facing experience.
• PMP / PRINCE2 / equivalent Project Management certification preferred/required.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira , etc.
