Job Description

The role of the Operations Manager is a full time role and is based out of our Agra unit. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the complete operations of our Handmade Footwear Outsole Manufacturing Plant and TPR Sole Plant based in Agra.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of handmade outsole manufacturing along with the ability to efficiently manage production, workers, quality, and factory operations.

The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include but are not limited to the following:

(A)Production Planning & Delivery Execution

• Prepare, manage and execute daily production schedules in line with client orders and plant capacity.
• Oversee workflow across both Handmade Soles as well as TPR Soles/Sheet production lines.
• Monitor daily output versus target, address bottlenecks immediately, and optimize raw material usage.
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery execution strictly adhering to committed timelines and customer quality standards.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical and production-related issues on the shop floor.

(B) Material Sourcing & Development

• Manage vendor sourcing and procurement for handmade sole components, including heels, welts, shanks, trim accessories etc.
• Lead welt development in collaboration with suppliers to match precise client design specifications.
• Oversee the development, color matching, and sourcing of s pecialized colored sprays, lacquers, and chemical finishes for sole treatment.
• Source and procure general factory consumables (e.g., adhesives, solvents, blades, sanding belts, safety gear, and packaging materials).

(C) Plant Maintenance & Factory Administration

• Coordinate periodic machine servicing, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs to ensure maximum operational uptime.
• Oversee daily plant administration, maintaining shop-floor hygiene, safety protocols, and operational readiness.
• Manage inventory levels of critical spares and consumables to prevent production delays.

(D) Quality Standards & Customer Technical Support

• Enforce strict Quality Assurance (QA) protocols from incoming raw materials to final pre-shipment inspections.
• Minimize rejection rates by quickly identifying and fixing root causes (e.g., material bonding, trimming, finishing, pressing defects etc.)
• Speak fluently in the "language of the footwear industry" to bridge client requirements with factory processes.
• Conduct client site visits to address any technical issues, provide on-the-spot solutions, and maintain positive client relations.

(E) Workforce Management & Reporting

• Mobilize, manage, and arrange shift schedules for factory workers, operators, and skilled workers specializing in handmade sole construction.
• Maintain floor discipline, enforce safety standards, and resolve worker grievances efficiently to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Utilize computer systems (MS Excel / ERP) to track daily output, inventory usage, yield losses, and worker attendance.
• Drive productivity and skill development across the shop floor.
• Track daily production output, attendance, material consumption, and yield losses.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports (production report, rejection report, re-work report etc.) for senior management.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on operational, production, and vendor management experience in footwear or footwear component manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of handmade sole construction across multiple materials ( TPR, Neolite, EVA, and Rubber ).
• Working knowledge of TPR injection molding processes and manufacturing.
• Good verbal and written communication in both English and Hindi (essential for client communications via email, vendor negotiations, and worker management).
• Strong leadership presence on the floor and the ability to handle and motivate workers while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
• Willingness to travel locally for client visits and supplier coordination.
• Strong Organization, Administrative, Co-ordination, Planning, and Time-Management Skills

Candidates with proven experience in managing a handmade outsole manufacturing plant will be given preference.

Location: Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Salary: ₹55,000 per month (Negotiable for the right candidate based on experience and capability)
