Auto / Transportation Associate Attorney

Coffey Modica LLP is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing Auto / Transportation practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience handling transportation, trucking, automobile liability, and general insurance defense matters and will be looking to grow their litigation career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on high exposure matters from inception through trial.

ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation Handle transportation, trucking, automobile liability, and related insurance defense matters Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the court Conduct legal research and draft reports, motions, and legal memoranda Work collaboratively with attorneys across offices and practice groups
QualificationsAdmitted to practice in New York 2–5 years of litigation experience preferred Experience in transportation, automobile liability, trucking, or insurance defense preferred Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills Ability to independently manage a caseload while working in a team-oriented environment Trial and deposition experience is a plus
