Senior Staff Test Engineer

Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite<p>Vocera now a part of Stryker,,of is looking for 9 to 12 years experienced Senior Staff Embedded Test Engineer to develop and maintain test software for embedded systems. The ideal candidate has strong <b>Python </b> and <b>Pytest </b> skills and experience implementing <b>Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) </b> practices. Strong knowledge on <b>CAN </b>, <b>CANOpen </b> and <b>MQTT </b> protocols. You will design, build, and run automated test frameworks, create robust test cases for firmware and hardware integration, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product quality. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b> </p><li><p>Develop and execute test plans for embedded software and systems. </p> </li><li><p>Develop and maintain automated tests and frameworks using Python and Pytest </p> </li><li><p>Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing </p> </li><li><p>Validate embedded applications in Linux-based environments </p> </li><li><p>Work with communication protocols such as CAN, CAN Open and MQTT for testing </p> </li><li><p>Analyse test results and identify defects, root causes, and improvement areas </p> </li><li><p>Collaborate with development teams for issue resolution and validation </p> </li><li><p>Maintain test documentation including test cases, reports, and logs </p> </li><li><p>Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and automation frameworks </p> </li><li><p>Support regression testing and release validation activities </p> </li><li><p>Ensure compliance with defined testing standards and procedures </p> </li><li><p>Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and report test metrics </p> </li><li><p>Debug failures, triage issues with firmware/hardware teams, and verify fixes </p> </li><li><p>Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in test automation </p> </li><p><b>Required Qualifications </b> </p><li><p>Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Electronics and Communication, Embedded system, Electrical /Electronics Engineering, or a related field. </p> </li><li><p><b>9+ years </b> of total professional software Test engineering experience. </p> </li><li><p>Proven experience in testing <b>embedded systems </b> and owning complete test cycle. </p> </li><li><p>Strong knowledge on <b>Python </b>, <b>CAN, CANOpen, MQTT </b>systems </p> </li><li><p>Experience with Eclipse IDE/VS Code for Test development in Linux. </p> </li><li><p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team </p> </li><li><p>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and debug complex issues. </p> </li><p><br /><b>Preferred Qualifications </b> </p><li><p>Experience in Medical Domain is an added advantage </p> </li><li><p>Proven track record of testing and maintaining complex Test framework on embedded systems. </p> </li><p>Complete understanding of Embedded system, standard Test Developmental frameworks antest developmentofand the systemsembedded systemstest frameworksthe medical domain,d best practices. </p>Travel Percentage: 10%
