Job Description

About Us

Basic Healthcare Services (BHS) is a not-for-profit organization with a vision of a world where marginalized and vulnerable communities lead a healthy life with dignity. The organization runs a network of AMRIT Clinics that provide high-quality and low-cost primary health care to rural and tribal communities in south Rajasthan. Six such clinics serve a population of nearly 100,000, approximately 90% of which is tribal. For more details, visit

One of the major health challenges faced by these communities is the high burden of TB and CRD. Their vulnerability to TB is driven by several interconnected factors. Food insecurity contributes to malnutrition, increasing the risk of developing TB. Seasonal migration of men for work often exposes them to hazardous working conditions and overcrowded living environments, both of which increase the risk of TB transmission. Fear and stigma associated with TB frequently lead to denial of symptoms and delays in seeking care. In addition, gaps in the public health system result in delayed diagnosis, interruptions in treatment, and poor quality of care.

Through our AMRIT Clinic, we provide a comprehensive package of TB and CRD services, including screening and diagnosis, treatment, counselling to address fear and stigma, and home visits to support treatment adherence and ensure continuity of care. To strengthen and coordinate these interventions, BHS invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator – TB and CRD.
