For more information, visit us at DescriptionDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstands and follows all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical apparatusDeals with complex factors and makes decisions based on conclusions and findingsInstalls and repairs various electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units and conduit systems. Works with blueprints, drawings, layouts, verbal instructions and other specificationsUses different welding equipment (arc, acetylene, brazing, and flame cutting) for lay out and fitting, including making jigs and fixturesUses electricians' hand tools and measuring/testing equipmentDiagnoses and corrects trouble in the electrical system or equipment, applying standard computations related to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipmentPerforms visual and mechanical inspections to maintain machinery in good condition ensuring the production of finished quality products to order specificationsFollows the preventive maintenance program established by the company and conducts equipment inspections, taking preventative action when necessaryPerforms minor and major repairs on buildingsNotifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment Provides on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics and others assisting in maintenance workContributes to continuous improvement efforts in work areaEnsure compliance of applicable Safety Standards and proceduresTroubleshoot and repair electrical equipmentExecute equipment repair proceduresEnsure good housekeeping in work areasEnter equipment repair history and close out work ordersUpdate repair procedures if neededMay be assigned additional projects or dutiesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or recognized equivalentMinimum of 1-3 years of related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experiencePreferred experience as an Electrical Controls Technician in an industrial manufacturing facilityDemonstrated commitment to electrical safety, strong troubleshooting skills, decision making skills, problem analysis and conflict management skills, particularly in pressure situationsKnowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC and applicable OSHA standardsHydraulics ExperiencePneumatics ExperienceProficient in reading and understanding electrical diagrams and technical manualsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAdditional InformationSite Address: 14213 Whittram Ave., Fontana, CA 92335This is a position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.The US pay range for this full-time position is $21.00 per hour to $24.00 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.
