- Support the Ski & Ride School Manager in the daily operation of the department, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Lead, coach, develop, schedule, and support supervisors, instructors, competition coaches, and support staff.
- Oversee daily operations of competition services, including race programs, training groups, athlete registration, attendance tracking, and event logistics.
- Coordinate race schedules, training venues, course preparation, equipment needs, and event execution.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management of departmental staff.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints using company values and established service recovery practices.
- Manage administrative functions including payroll support, staffing coordination, record keeping, reporting, equipment inventory, and program documentation.
- Assist with departmental budgeting, labor management, and expense control to support financial goals.
- Maintain a strong culture of safety by ensuring compliance with resort policies, risk management practices, and safety standards for guests, athletes, and employees.
- Collaborate with Ski Patrol, Mountain Operations, Marketing, and other resort departments to support instruction programs, competition services, and departmental initiatives.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Ski & Ride School Instructor, Competition Coach, or related ski industry role.
- Experience with ski school operations, competition services, race programs, or athlete development programs.
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, and administrative functions.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience with RPOS or similar resort management systems preferred.
- Strong guest service, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak operational periods.
- Must pass a background check.
- Experience managing competition programs, race events, or athlete development programs.
- Knowledge of US Ski & Snowboard race operations and event standards.
- College degree or equivalent experience in recreation, education, business, sports management, or a related field.
