About the Role

Healthcare is the largest portfolio of this Mumbai-based interior design studio's work, with large hospital projects that run for years. This role sits between the healthcare team's Lead Architect and the architects, reporting to the Lead Architect, and works alongside the studio's medical planner.

The role runs projects end to end and stays hands-on, roughly 40 percent of the week on design. Healthcare experience is the strong preference.

What You'll Do

• Lead architecture and medical-planning workstreams on large healthcare projects, and institutional projects where allocated
• Hold projects end to end: concept, design development, documentation, consultant coordination, site
• Coordinate MEP, structural and specialist consultants, with a working grasp of what healthcare services ask of a plan
• Work with the studio's medical planner on layouts and adjacencies, and grow medical-planning fluency where it is not already there
• Produce and review drawings, 3D models and details; roughly 40 percent hands-on
• Brief the drafting team on production packages and review their output
• Run three to four projects in parallel and lead a team of three to four
• Own client coordination for your projects: meetings, decisions, closing loops
• Handle site: visits, contractor queries, routine issues
• Sign off routine decisions within intent; stand in for the Lead when required

Must Have

• 8 or more years in architecture on large-scale projects
• Healthcare preferred; institutional or large residential (towers) acceptable; individual homes alone is not enough
• Depth in services and MEP coordination, and the ability to read execution in drawings
• Consultant and contractor coordination on live projects
• Site handling and routine problem resolution
• Direct client-facing experience, including presenting design work
• Led a team of three to four; run three to four projects concurrently
• AutoCAD and SketchUp; Photoshop and InDesign; MS Office or Google Workspace
• Fluent English across all levels
• Based in Mumbai or settled in Maharashtra

Good to Have

• Hospital or medical-planning exposure, or work alongside a medical planner
• Interior packages within healthcare or institutional projects
• A design-led studio of 20 to 70 people with direct Principal or Lead exposure
• Basic familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini

Not a Fit If

• Your portfolio is individual homes, without the scale or services complexity of healthcare or institutional work
• Services understanding is weak, or you are uneasy running consultant coordination with limited Lead involvement
• You cannot read drawings critically or connect design to execution on site
• Strong designer who cannot hold documentation, coordination and site, or strong executor with weak design judgement
• You need the Lead for routine decisions
• You wait for instructions rather than think about the whole project
• You resist non-standard forms or questioning the conventional answer
• Short temper under people or site pressure
• Relocating from outside Maharashtra without a strong reason to stay in Mumbai
• You want a relaxed or contained schedule

Compensation & Work Arrangement

₹8.00–12.00 LPA (CTC). Work from office, Mumbai, Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM.
