Commercial Litigation Associate | Garden City, NY – $200K + 1,800 Billables

Location/Schedule: Garden City, Long Island. Four days per week in the office, with some flexibility.Base Salary: $200K.Practice: 100% commercial litigation, with a balanced mix of plaintiff and defense matters.
Our client is one of Long Island’s oldest and largest full-service law firms. Commercial litigation has been central to the firm for more than 75 years, with its attorneys handling precedent-setting disputes and securing judgments exceeding $100 million.

What You’ll Actually Do:Manage commercial disputes from pleadings through resolution.Draft and argue substantive and discovery-related motions.Conduct written discovery and take and defend depositions.Attend court conferences, hearings and mediations.Work directly with clients and contribute to case strategy.
Requirements:Five or more years of commercial-litigation experience.Active New York Bar admission.Strong drafting, motion-practice and discovery experience.Ability to independently manage deadlines, client expectations and litigation strategy.Construction, shareholder or foreclosure-litigation experience is helpful. xzbcwsv
