Job Description

About the Role

Diagnex is hiring an experienced Emergency Technologist to support its emergency, acute-care, and critical patient management services. This is a hands-on clinical role for candidates who have formal training in emergency or critical-care technology and practical experience working with patients who require immediate assessment, stabilisation, monitoring, or escalation.

The role requires someone who can remain calm, organised, and clinically disciplined in high-pressure situations. We are specifically looking for candidates with 2–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in emergency departments, casualty units, trauma services, critical-care settings, emergency medical services, or similar clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Emergency Technologist will support doctors and nursing teams during the initial assessment and management of emergency patients. Responsibilities will include recording and monitoring vital parameters such as pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, and other clinically required observations, while promptly communicating abnormal findings or patient deterioration to the treating doctor or senior clinical team.

The selected candidate will assist in preparing patients, equipment, and required materials during emergency procedures according to clinical instructions and institutional protocols. Depending on recognised training, demonstrated competency, and authorised scope, the technologist may support airway, breathing, and circulation-related emergency interventions, oxygen administration, respiratory-support preparation, ECG acquisition, basic cardiac monitoring, and other emergency-care procedures.

A significant part of the role involves maintaining readiness of emergency equipment and supplies. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and checking monitors, suction equipment, oxygen systems, emergency trolleys, crash carts, and other devices used during acute-care situations, ensuring that essential materials and consumables are available and appropriately stocked.

The Emergency Technologist may also assist the clinical team during resuscitation and other emergency procedures according to established protocols. This may include preparing materials required for IV access, airway management, defibrillation, emergency medication administration by authorised personnel, patient transfer, and other time-sensitive interventions.

The candidate will be expected to monitor patients who are awaiting further treatment, admission, referral, or transfer and ensure that any change in clinical condition is immediately escalated. Safe movement and transfer of critically ill or emergency patients may also form part of the role when required.

Accurate documentation is essential. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain emergency-care records, support completion of relevant patient documentation, follow infection-control and biomedical-waste protocols, and ensure compliance with patient-safety procedures.

The role requires continuous coordination with doctors, nurses, ambulance personnel, diagnostic teams, and other healthcare professionals involved in emergency patient management. Clear communication, rapid escalation, and disciplined teamwork are critical to performing effectively in this position.

Qualification

Candidates must have completed a recognised Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology / Emergency & Trauma Care , B.Sc. in Emergency Medical Technology / Emergency & Critical Care Technology , or another recognised qualification directly relevant to emergency and critical-care technology.

Candidates with unrelated general paramedical qualifications and no significant emergency-care training or practical experience may not be considered for this position.

Experience

Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant hands-on emergency or critical-care experience , with approximately 2–3 years of strong practical exposure preferred.

Experience gained in environments such as hospital emergency departments, casualty units, trauma centres, ICUs, critical-care units, emergency medical services, ambulance services, patient transport services, or multispeciality hospital emergency departments will be considered relevant.

Actual hands-on experience managing emergency patients, supporting acute-care interventions, and responding appropriately to changes in patient condition will be an important part of the selection process.

Preferred Clinical Exposure

Candidates with practical exposure to emergency patient assessment, vital-sign monitoring, ECG acquisition and monitoring, oxygen therapy support, emergency airway equipment preparation, suction equipment handling, resuscitation assistance, crash-cart management, trauma-care support, critical patient transfer, infection control, emergency documentation, and recognition and escalation of patient deterioration will have an advantage.

Candidates will only be expected to perform procedures that fall within their recognised qualification, clinical training, demonstrated competency, and authorised scope of practice.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who can remain composed and systematic in high-pressure clinical situations. Emergency care requires speed, but it also requires accuracy, discipline, communication, and the ability to recognise when a patient’s condition is worsening and immediate medical escalation is required.

The ideal candidate should be responsible, attentive, protocol-driven, and comfortable interacting with emergency patients and distressed family members. Strong teamwork is essential because emergency-care delivery depends on continuous coordination between doctors, nurses, technologists, ambulance teams, and other clinical personnel.

Candidates should also demonstrate good documentation habits, equipment awareness, patient-safety consciousness, and a professional approach to every emergency situation.

Skills We Value

Relevant skills include Emergency Patient Care, Critical Care Support, Trauma Care, Patient Monitoring, ECG Monitoring, Emergency Equipment Handling, Resuscitation Assistance, Oxygen Therapy Support, Emergency Response, Patient Transfer, Clinical Documentation, Infection Control, Clinical Escalation, and Emergency Department Coordination .

Strong fundamentals, situational awareness, protocol adherence, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team are particularly important for this role.

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on qualification, emergency-care experience, previous organisation, practical competency, current compensation, and overall interview assessment.

How to Apply

Interested candidates may apply through LinkedIn or share their updated CV at the contact number below. While applying, please mention your qualification, year of completion, total emergency / critical-care experience, current organisation, current location, current salary, expected salary, and notice period / earliest joining date .

Only candidates with a relevant Diploma / B.Sc. qualification and genuine hands-on emergency-care experience should apply.
