Job Description

<p>Job Objective: Supervises contract crews, heavy equipment / crane operators, and other personnel at work site in the installation of production facilities field wide. This job may be used to fill positions at other North Slope assets. Essential Job Responsibilities: Identifies, plans and executes projects that support the Asset Team's objectives including: Supervising construction and inspections crews performing electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil projects to include installing process equipment, controls, pipelines, power generation equipment; repairing pipelines, tanks, vessels, and structural components; and constructing roads, pads, and other field support infrastructure. Supervising set-up, operation, and repair of oil field machines and equipment and working with field operators to adjust controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications. Communicating with or assisting other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment. Provides visible leadership to Operations and construction crews in the field. Emphasizes safety in all aspects of the project. Manages scope, budget and schedule of projects. Prepares estimates and bid packages, performs bid walks, and evaluates bids with project teams. Develops and implements innovative project execution strategies by working with discipline engineers and operations. Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings Provides effective and timely communication between the field, project team and management. Address on-site challenges head on to maintain workflow and mitigate delays in a remote and challenging environment. Other Job Responsibilities: Makes frequent field visits to provide visible leadership to project execution teams. Identifies ways to plan and execute project in order to reduce costs and improve quality and/or safety. Self-performs management and technical aspects of a project to the maximum extent possible. Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.). Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. Set and publish project goals and stretch goals (safety, cost, schedule, quality) for self and team on individual projects Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Ten (10) years minimum experience in the maintenance, welding, and/or electrical operations of oil and gas production field equipment. Experience supervising at least two multidiscipline capital projects with a Total Installed Cost (TIC) of $5 million or more each, in a supervisor role. Ability to work a fourteen (14) day on and fourteen (14) day off 12 hour shift work schedule or similar schedule based on the requirements of the project and approved by Supervisor. Ability to proactively identify and remove obstacles. Strong communication skills to convey urgency and attention to detail regarding daily activities, in accordance with safety practices, quality management, and budget requirements while commanding respect of the crews. Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft applications including but not limited to Word, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Project and PowerPoint. Ability to interpret project schedules, cost control reports, and invoicing. Ability to work long hours to cover/monitor assigned field territory. Ability to travel to remote locations via large and small planes, helicopter or boat, and ability to don and doff immersion suit. Ability to work in arctic conditions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities. Ability to consider safety in all decisions. Experience on the North Slope, Alaska is preferred. Experience with process controls and power distribution background is preferred. Education Requirements: Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Rigging, Signalman or crane experience is preferred. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: None.
